彰化奇談 Chang hua Anecdotes

這是一個關於彰化的作品。第一段中，我請我爸爸用台語唸出彰化所有的鄉鎮市，同時請我媽媽用口哨吹奏《望春風》。而我則手持喇叭轉動，改變這些聲音，讓這一切都變得模糊不清，這有點像我對彰化整體的感覺。

第二段，從一個虛構的八卦山大佛故事出發，我換上了美少女的裝扮，希望喚醒這個城市的陰性力量，或者將被壓抑的陰性力量表現出來。

This is a work about Changhua. In the first part, I asked my father to recite the names of all the towns and cities in Changhua in Taiwanese, while my mother whistled the tune “Longing for the Spring Breeze.” I held a megaphone and rotated it, altering these sounds and making everything become blurred, which somewhat reflects my overall feelings toward Changhua.

In the second part, starting from a fictional story about the Great Buddha of Baguashan, I dressed up as a magical girl, hoping to awaken the feminine energy of this city or to express the suppressed feminine power.

In Changhua’s Bagua Mountain, a strange legend is told among the villagers: on every full moon, the Great Buddha slightly shifts, as if guarding a hidden secret. One night, a group of curious young people sneaked up the mountain to investigate. Just as moonlight covered the mountain, a massive stone turtle suddenly emerged from the ground, its shell carved with mysterious symbols, sending them fleeing back to the village in fear. Since then, villagers are even more certain—the secrets of Bagua Mountain are meant to be guarded by the Buddha and should never be disturbed.

在彰化的八卦山上，村裡流傳著一個奇異的傳說：每逢滿月，大佛會微微轉向，彷彿在守護某個深藏的秘密。一群好奇的年輕人某晚偷偷上山，想一探究竟。就在月光灑滿山頭時，一隻巨大的石龜突然從地面升起，龜殼上刻滿了神秘符號，讓他們驚慌逃回村子。自那之後，村裡人更相信，八卦山的秘密只能被大佛守護，永遠不該被打擾。
