Bio

Craphone Liu is a Taiwan-based performance artist whose practice explores the relationship between body, energy, consciousness, and space. Her work moves across live performance, performance film, video projection, and interdisciplinary collaborations with musicians and visual artists.

Since the early 2000s she has participated in numerous international performance art festivals and exhibitions across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, including events in Taiwan, China, Korea, Serbia, Bolivia, Mexico, India, Argentina, Japan, Italy, and the Philippines.

Her works often investigate the invisible structures of perception, spiritual transformation, and embodied experience, developing long-term projects such as the Nanoproject, Etheric Body, and Celestial/Body Poem series.

Artist Statement

My artistic practice centers on the body as a site of transformation, perception, and energy transmission.

Through live performance, moving images, and multimedia collaboration, I explore invisible forces that shape human consciousness and the relationship between body, time, and space.

Many of my works develop through long-term research projects, including Nanoproject, Etheric Body, and Celestial/Body Poem. These projects investigate the interaction between physical presence and subtle energetic structures.

Performance becomes a ritual process where the body functions simultaneously as medium, archive, and transmitter. The works often unfold in dialogue with sound, architecture, and projection, creating immersive environments where audiences experience shifting states of perception.
